Every human was created by God. And the most interesting thing you need to know is that every product has it own purpose. Also, you need to understand that the purpose of every product is predetermined by the manufacturer of such product(s), products don’t get to the market to determine their purpose.
Let’s take for example a pen; a pen cannot go to the market and decide that its purpose will now be to serve as stove for cooking. Is that possible? No of course! So it’s only God (your creator) who has the power to give you a purpose.
In Jeremiah 1:5 God made the above point very clear to prophet Jeremiah.
Jer:1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
The good news is that every human is predestined for something but the evil for many is HOW TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE MEANT FOR! I must tell you that “Until you discover your purpose on earth, it is never your turn to be successful.”
So to discover your purpose, it’s time to take the following steps.
1. Ask your Creator about it:
We serve a God that listens and also speaks to His people. Jesus specifically told us that the Holy spirit will guide us into all truth (John 16:13).
Similarly, Isaiah 48:17 declares:
‘Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.’
But until you ask for direction, God is not committed to leading you.
2. Figure out at least 3 things your do with ease:
Yes this is so essential. There is something God has deposited in every human and He expects us to make profit with the talents we have.
In Luke 25:14-30 where we have the parable of the talents, the offense of the last servant was that he failed to make profit with his talent (verse 26-28). Profit here mainly refers to using what you have to do anything that is praise worthy.
You can only make profit with what you enjoy doing, not what you are forced to do. I used to humorously tell my friends that if I was that last servant I will not collect the one talent in the first place since I don’t enjoy trading.
3. Discover at least 3 things you enjoy discussing at all times:
I really need not write so much here because the headline practically goes in sync with what’s discussed above. You just need follow carefully so as to work according to God’s purpose for you as a believer.
4. Find out some reasons why you like each of those things:
If of course your reasons are valid then there is a chance that you will do well. But you know it will be crazy for you to say you will probably do well in life as a sex peeler because you enjoy having sex?
Good! We have said that the entire essence of discovering your purpose and make profit therewith is to do things that glorify God.
5. Among those three things, which of them fetch you more money/luck:
Yes money is important but shouldn’t be your major priority. We just had to bring out that point anyways!
6. Which of these three things can you easily let go of?
You can be a star in just one thing. I mean you cannot be a professional lawyer, a professional doctor, a professional footballer; no, no, it’s either you belong here or there.
With all the anointing Jesus had, He only had just ONE mission on earth.
John:18:37: “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To THIS end was I born, and for this CAUSE came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
I hope you noticed Jesus did not say THESE and CAUSES? So he had just one mission and that is why among the three things or professions you have picked above you must filter them.
7. Pick one out of those three things and stick to it.
If you have 2 among those 3 which are closely related, you can go for the 2 until one among the 2 supersedes the other.
I hope you will work on this.
I close by saying: Hard work does not equal wealth or success, it is right work that does.
