These little tips are outlined to help every young person that’s still battling with the sin of immorality. We advice that you follow after these tips, while praying steadfastly for more of HIS grace and companionship.
Number one: Decide and determine to stop
First things first, you have to make a solid decision within yourself to stop living an immoral lifestyle. Until you decide to stop it you can’t stop it completely. So, make a strong decision to stop and God will help you when he sees your innermost sincerity.
Number Two: Move with the right persons
There is a wise saying that says – “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you whom you are” and another one also says that – “Birds of a feather flocks together”. You have to stop moving around with your old friends and make new Christ-loving friends who will always encourage and impact on your life positively.
Our friends play a very strong role in all our life’s goals, pursuits and overall endeavors. Psalms chapter 1 vs 1-6 tells us about the benefits of living a morally sound life.
Number Three: Always be in the right places
Always try to be in the right places at all times. You cannot wish to stop living an immoral life and still go the wrong places immoral acts abounds.
Being in the right places will strengthen your inner mind and reduce the level of temptations that are likely to come your way.
Number Four: Pray without Ceasing
Prayer is the key thing to engage on if you really want to stop living an immoral life. Pray for God’s guidance and ask that the Holy Spirit directs you at all time.
Praying regularly keeps you in constant touch with the heavenlies and would help you keep away for lustful and/or immoral thoughts.
Number Five: Believe you can STOP IT
In your heart, Believe that you can stop it and always see yourself like you are living a new life totally different from the old one. Your belief and faith will help you keep off immoral thoughts and maintain a holy life in Christ.
Number Six: Be conscious of God’s presence
Wherever you are, God is seeing you. Even in the darkest nights and in the deepest seas, His eyes sees through them. God loves you and so will always watch over you to guide and to protect you.
Always have it in mind that God is watching over all your activities, so when you do GOOD or BAD He knows and He keeps a record for it. Knowing and being conscious of this would help you overcome youthful lusts and the temptation to sexual immorality.
Number Seven: Be thoughtful of Christ’s Sacrifice on the Cross
Remember that someone paid a great price for you to live. Jesus Christ died because of our sins and immoralities. He died to redeem us and bring us closer to God.
